Thanks @radiant. We’re already working on a few more Sentio Characters that can go along with the Darkness Warlord. We’ll be building out sets of matching characters that can be used together in game worlds, plus we’ll be gradually increasing the sophistication of the AI.

Everyone in the community should feel free to submit suggestions for characters. You can even suggest models that you find on the Asset Store - we’re already working with artists to re-rig and update their models as Sentio Characters.

I just bought this and it works as advertised when I drop two of them in a scene… they stalk each other and fight to the death. I may not know what I am doing or what I need to setup… but when I drop my own character in using a third person controller and run around the scene the Sentio character will not react to my controlled character…. are there any notes on what I need to do to have the Sentio character react to my controlled character?

Here is a low cost character from the Asset store that would work well as a Sentio character

I had hoped the Sentio character would help me learn more rapidly about RAIN… but it doesn’t look like it will so I am going to go through all the tutorials and work it all out for myself but I do like the concept of preconfigured characters with preconfigured behaviour… but the AI needs to be adaptable easily to custom characters as this Warlord won’t work in my current project.

    Hey there @mangeyd.

The Sentio Character should react to your character if you tag it as a Creature. You can do that through the Rain->Sentio Characters->Markup Creature menu. For example, tag your character as “Good” and the DW should attack it.

The Sentio Characters aren’t necessarily learning tools by themselves, but you should be able to use them as good reference models for RAIN. If you find yourself asking “How did they do this in RAIN?” you can check to see how we did it for that character. We included all the code.

Also, don’t forget that you need to switch the RAIN view from Basic to Advanced Settings if you want to look at the full AI Rig. You can get to that from the gear icon on the AI Rig component.

Thanks for the reply… once I found the Advanced settings the Sentio character made much more sense!!

I still couldn’t get them to attack but I will try tagging my character and see what happens…. I have added Max from the tutorial and rigged him and have him patrolling around the same scene and they don’t attack him either but I think I am getting there and I am really enjoying RAIN… so thanks for the reply
